Released on 2 September 2022, Trip Jigsaw is Yangfan's second solo album since What Happened after 1001 Nights? debuted in 2015, and her first collaboration with bié Records. Far more than being a sonic 'seasoning' accompanying theatres, films, and other visual mediums, this self-selected album of Yangfan's original and versatile soundtrack works from the past decade is a superb reflection of her subtle, meticulous compositional skills and her personal musical aesthetic.

Rather than relying on a pile-up of sound materials and elaborate techniques, Yangfan's restrained yet ingenious guitar playing, simple yet physically affected rhythms, and fluid control of vocal, noise, or electronic music elements demonstrate a deft mastery of her craft as a composer and performer.

The drum-machine-underpinning "Childhood", with guest guitarist Guo Zhen (Future Orients), is a synth-driven ballad that yearns for youthfulness with a faintly melancholy shadowing behind; throbbing pulses of the distorted effects in "Son of Sick" turn the sickly hiss and eerie guitar lines scorched black; Shi Lu's (Hedgehog) airy vocal is like a veil of mist, which lightly floats above the piano melody of "Honeybee" ......

The differentiation shown throughout the entire album points to the very precious ethos of Yangfan and her musical creation: behind the different forms of musical performance, different musical narratives, and different musical styles, Yangfan always pursues something closer to the essence of music - a simple, intimate yet impenetrable emotion that will lead every music fan to depicture a different Yangfan in his/her mind, and thus recall the moment when Yangfan's music touched him/her for the very first time.

早在千禧年来临前的两年，还在上中学的杨帆就組成了“挂在盒子上” , 创造了国内 “暴女运动” （riot grrrl）的先河，在日渐成熟的音乐生涯里，她转而探索迷幻音乐和车库摇滚，以 Ourself Beside Me 和 TOW 主唱的身份奠定了她在北京音乐场景里的 cult heroine 地位。

《小曲儿辑》是杨帆过去十年配乐作品中精挑细选而来的选辑，是她精微、细致的作曲技巧和她个人音乐审美的极好写照。克制又充满巧思的吉他演奏、简洁又富有身体性律动的节奏，以及对人声、噪音或是电子音乐元素的控制展现着杨帆作为作曲者与表演者对技巧的灵巧驾驭，更透过整体差异化的呈现指向杨帆音乐创作中可贵的一点：在不同音乐表演形式、不同音乐叙事、不同乐曲风格的背后，杨帆始终追求着某种距离音乐本质更近的东西 —— 那份单纯、亲近又让人不能完全摸透的的情感会让每个乐迷禁不住思考起自己心中杨帆的模样和最初听到杨帆音乐时的感动。
